Bob Kitching, President
Born in Paradise Valley Alberta. Enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Served in the Electronic Warfare Unit out of Air Defense Command Headquarters in St Hubert, Quebec. After leaving the service worked 28 years in management positions for Alberta Government Telephones. In 1980 He raised Fullblood Simmental cattle on his homestead, eventually operating the farm as a Guest Ranch, retiring in the spring of 2015, moving to Creston BC. Over the years he has been involved in agricultural equipment businesses and the BC hotel accommodation industry. Served as Director of the local Drayton Valley Chamber of Commerce and as a Director on the Water Planning Advisory Council for the North Saskatchewan River. Elected in 2003 to municipal Council in Brazeau County, served 3 terms. Married with 3 children, 9 grandchildren and, 3 great grandchildren.

Creston has been my home and focus since 2004. Originally from England, I grew up in Creston and raised my family on Kootenay Lake.
Currently serving my 16th year as Councillor on Town Council (and possibly counting) and several Boards including Creston Public Library and CDSCL.
As a Board member I would offer my networking experience, knowledge and affection for our community, and a sincere desire to see Creston continue to move forward
Ralph Vigna, Director
Ralph is a retired business owner and has been in the community for 29 years. Owns Dairy Queen, Valley wash laundromat and is active in the Knights of Columbus.He is married and has three grown children and 6 grandchildren.

Jason Meidl, Director
Jason was born and raised in BC. He settled in Creston where he completed his apprenticeship and graduated from the Canadian College of Funeral Services in 2017. He is passionate about the funeral service and enjoys serving his families. Jason and his family moved to Cranbrook in 2018 and have now returned to the Creston Valley; which holds a special place in their hearts. Jason and his team look forward to the privilege of serving both families and the community in their time of need. Jason served as a volunteer firefighter in the Creston Valley for 5 years and while living in Cranbrook served as a Library Trustee for the Cranbrook Public Library and is a member of the Creston Valley Rotary Club. Jason is the Managing Director of Creston Valley Funeral Services.
Saara Itkonen, Director
Saara Itkonen is the Library Director of the Creston Valley Public Library. She lives in Creston with her partner, daughter, dog and cat. Prior to moving to Creston, she was a Children's Librarian and a Branch Manager with the Vancouver Public Library. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Library and Information Studies from McGill University. She is a dedicated advocate for children, youth and marginalized people and believes businesses and organizations work best when they give back to their community.
